Congratulations on your new membership with Mackay Regional Council Library Service.
You can use your library membership to access library collections in branch or 24-7 access to the Online Library collections including eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers and eFilms.
If you haven't already, please visit any of our library branches within 3 months of sign up to provide proof of residential address using one of the acceptable formats of identification below:
- Driver's licence
- Rates notice
- Pension card
- Utilities bill eg electricity or telephone
- Rent receipt
Entry membership entitles you to a 3 month Library membership. You can upgrade to open membership upon providing proof of residential address as above. Open library membership provides you access to a range of services such as:
- borrowing up to 20 items for 2 weeks from any of the 5 branches or Mobile Library
- two x 2 week renewals (unless items reserved by another borrower)
- free reservations for collection at the branch of your choice
- automatic renewals prior to due date, you must provide an email address to activate this service
- 2 hours free internet and public computer access each day
Your Library card is required to borrow items.
You may also use your mobile device to save your scanned library card to an app such as Stocard or show your unique user barcode visible after you Log in here.
